Hamas hails Czech rejection to move embassy to Jerusalem
Member of Hamas’ International Relations Office Basem Naim hailed the Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš’s refusal to move his country’s embassy to Jerusalem as a “laudable and praiseworthy stance.”
The Czech PM reiterated his country’s rejection to relocate its embassy to Jerusalem, saying that such move would contravene with the UN treaties and resolutions in this regard.
Naim called on all states to remain committed to the international resolutions concerning Jerusalem and respect the Palestinian people’s right to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
