Head of Hamas Political Bureau in Gaza Yahya al-Sinwar stated that the goal of the ‘Deal of the Century’ is integrating the Israeli occupation into the region and liquidating the Palestinian issue.
In a speech at the Third Annual Iftar to Support the Palestinian Intifada, al-Sinwar said that the Deal of the Century aims at integrating the Israeli occupation into the region and ending the Palestinian issue.
He also said that one of the major goals of the deal is rearranging the ‘matrix of friends and enemies in the region.’
Addressing the Arab leaders, the senior Hamas official said, “You are in front of a historic position that will be recorded [in history] for or against you. If you want to be recognised as leaders, you must adopt the choices of the Palestinian people.”
“Trump wants to grant Jerusalem to the Israeli occupation and he wants the Arab leaders to pay the price for this,” he added.
Al-Sinwar called on all free people of the world to participate in the International Quds Day and on the Palestinian people to highlight that they uphold their rights to Jerusalem and Palestine.
Concerning the economic conference in Bahrain, the Hamas official urged the Bahraini people to stage a large-scale strike on 25 and 26 of June to protest against the workshop organised by the US, which is the first step of implementing the Trump’s ‘Deal of Century’.
He also thanked the Bahraini people for their enormous efforts to tackle normalisation of ties with the Israeli occupation.
“I thank Bahraini initiative that calls for foiling all normalisation efforts…I hope that the call for the large-scale strike [to protest the Trump’s deal] would be translated into actions,” al-Sinwar said.
Commenting on the so-called ‘economic peace’, the Hamas official said, “We are the fuel to block the deal… Gaza would not sell the homeland in return for food. No country, separated from our homeland, would be established in Gaza.
Al-Sinwar also called on Fatah to achieve reconciliation in order to stand united in face of the ‘Deal of the Century’.
