Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem said Saturday that the Palestinians’ insistence to mark the last Friday of Ramadan at al-Aqsa Mosque proved that they will never waive their right to Jerusalem.
In a press release, Qasem added that how hundreds of thousands of Palestinian worshippers managed to access al-Aqsa Mosque despite killing, intimidating civilians, and banning civilians from entering the sacred compound by Israeli occupation forces reflected a failed attempt to change Jerusalem’s Arab identity.
Through their participation in the Great Return March protests last Friday to mark International Quds Day, Qasem stressed, the Palestinian people sent a clear message that the US decisions on Jerusalem would not decide its fate.
Qasem noted that the Palestinian people would stand steadfast and continue resisting the occupation until Jerusalem is liberated.
