The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas rejects the plans to install surveillance equipment at Al-Aqsa Mosque, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri confirmed.

In a press statement on Monday, Abu Zuhri deemed the plans dangerous, calling on Palestinians to escalate the intifada in order to abort schemes that target the holy mosque.

US Secretary of State John Kerry announced few days ago a deal between the Israeli occupation and Jordan, custodian of the site, to install security cameras at Al-Aqsa mosque.
