Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh called Wednesday Hamas official Hassan Yousef’s wife and son.

Haniyeh reiterated the movement’s support for Yousef and his family, stressing that all attempts to distort the image of the national figure were bound to fail.

Praising the ongoing popular campaign launched in solidarity with Yousef and his family, along with the support of officials from Palestinian factions, Haniyeh hailed Yousef as one of Hamas’ co-founders enjoying a great reputation among his own people.

During the phone call, Yousef’s wife and son expressed their gratitude to Hamas and their love for their homeland, Palestine.
