Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh congratulated on Sunday evening Algerian national football team on winning the African Cup of Nations, wishing the Algerian people a future of prosperity and success.

Haniyeh stressed that Algeria’s win of the African Cup has made the Palestinian people happy, in a way that reflects the deep appreciation that the Palestinians have towards Algeria.

The chief of Hamas Political Bureau hailed the Senegal national football team’s performance, wishing them better luck in the forthcoming championships.

“The positions of the Senegal people in support of the oppressed people are appreciated,” Haniyeh added.

The Hamas chief hailed Egypt’s role in hosting and organising the African Cup of Nations on its soil.
