A Hamas delegation, led by the movement’s deputy chief Saleh al-Arouri, has met Tuesday with Ali Akbar Velayati, international relations advisor to Iran's supreme leader and former foreign minister.

The delegation visiting Tehran stressed that all Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people would not dissuade them from embracing the option of resistance.

Thanking Iran for its four-decades support for the Palestinian people and cause, the Hamas delegation called for reinforcing the Palestinian steadfastness at home and abroad.

The delegation reiterated that the Palestinian resistance is the spearhead in the struggle against the occupation.

The former Iranian foreign minister, on the other hand, reaffirmed his country’s position in support of the Palestinian rights and cause.

Velayati confirmed that Iran did not hesitate to provide support for the Palestinian people as part of a strategic and preliminary commitment towards Palestine cause.
