On Israeli violations against Palestinian detainees held in Israeli jails, Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum stated the following:

Hamas holds the Israeli occupation’s government and Israeli Prison Service fully responsible for the repercussions of the ongoing violations against Palestinian detainees, for they enforce points agreed upon with the leadership of Palestinian Prisoners Movement.   

 Hamas will not allow the Israeli occupation to exploit the rights of Palestinian detainees in order to gain more votes in Israeli elections. Furthermore, the movement will not leave the Palestinian detainees alone in their fight for their legitimate demands.

We call for a mass popular and factional action to raise the issue of the Palestinian detainees and support them in the face of Israeli violence and terrorism against them.
