On 19 September 2019, Hamas received a national vision offered by some Palestinian factions to achieve unity and end Palestinian division during a meeting between the resistance movement’s leadership and officials from Palestinian factions.

Hamas leadership, in Palestine and abroad, considered this initiative with high national spirits stemming from its responsibility and keenness to achieve the national unity.

As it appreciates the efforts exerted by honest Palestinian factions’ leaders, while realising the dangers and challenges threatening the Palestinian cause and its constants, Hamas accepts the factional initiative without any comment or addition, hoping that the proposal will succeed to achieve national reconciliation.

In addition, the movement has decided to overlook  some details in the proposal, especially the vague article concerning an end to the tough sanctions imposed by the Palestinian Authority on the Gaza Strip, which have negatively affected the Palestinians’ lives in the besieged enclave.       

At the situation is alarming and consensus is critically important at this time to coordinate national work and factional efforts, all Palestinian factions are required to take proposal seriously in defense of the Palestinian cause.

Hamas vows to exert all efforts possible and required to overcome all obstacles facing the implementation of this initiative that may put an end to the Palestinian split.
