Member of Hamas Political Bureau Salah al-Bardawil stressed on Sunday evening that restoring national unity is a “sacred” goal for his movement.

Speaking at a rally for Islamic Jihad movement in Gaza to commemorate the 32nd anniversary of inception, al-Bardawil restated his movement’s commitment to a national vision introduced by eight Palestinian factions to achieve Palestinian reconciliation, calling on Fatah to respond to the national initiative.

Al-Badrawi reaffirmed that Hamas has a “deeply-rooted faith” that the Palestinian people has a “sacred” right to Palestine and will not abandon under any circumstances any of their rights.

The Hamas official reiterated that the option of resistance is the “most genuine” approach towards liberating Palestine.

Al-Bardawil saluted the leadership of Islamic Jihad, particularly its former chief Ramadan Shalah and its current secretary-general Ziad al-Nakhala, hailing his movement’s relationship with Islamic Jihad.

Lauding the Palestinian people for taking part in the Great Return March protests east of Gaza, al-Bardawil called for more solidarity with relatives of Palestinian martyrs and protesters wounded by Israeli gunfire during the demonstrations to be expressed.
