Member of Hamas's political bureau Mahmoud al-Zahhar said that Jerusalem intifada paves the way for the demise of the Israeli occupation.

During his Friday sermon in a Gaza Mosque, Zahhar said that the plan of dividing the Aqsa Mosque between Muslims and Jews is doomed to failure after the Palestinian people from all spectra rose up to defend the Aqsa Mosque.

He also stressed that all bets on the West Bank and Jerusalem people's complacency will lose.

"Those who have thought that the people in the West Bank have become submissive and acclimatized to humiliation and Oslo accords are mistaken," Zahhar said, asserting that the resistance in Gaza would never forsake the West Bank in any way.
