The statements made by Palestinian Authority’s officials opposing the efforts exerted to ease the Israeli siege on Gaza proves their bad intentions to keep the humanitarian crisis persistent in the impoverished strip, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem said on Saturday evening. 

In a press release, Qasem added that such remarks “reflect partisan goals that unfortunately go in line with the goals of Israeli siege.”

Qasem called on the Ramallah-based Palestinian Authority to lift the punitive measures imposed on Gaza, which have aggravated the humanitarian crisis in the blockaded enclave, and end its abhorrent, partisan policies.
