Hamas condemns the Israeli measures against official Palestinian organisations based in Jerusalem. We think that such a campaign aims at claiming the Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem.

The Israeli measures in the holy city imposed after the US decision regarding Jerusalem to fight the Palestinian organisations there, such as the Palestinian Ministry of Education, medical institutions, and the official press agency, are bids to dismantle Palestinian organisations by cutting funds and shutting off offices.

Now, the Palestinians are facing an existential threat in Jerusalem that aims to end the existence of Palestinian official organisations in the holy city and cut services provided to the residents of Jerusalem. This stage of ‘Israelising the Palestinian bodies’ requires a serious Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic action.

We confirm that the Israeli attempts to remove the Palestinian, Islamic identity of Jerusalem are doomed to failure. The Palestinians will strongly claim their identity in the holy city by continuing the freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation and its aggressive measures.
