Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has offered his congratulations to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on wining Algeria’s presidential election vote.

“It is our pleasure, in Hamas, to offer to your Excellency our deepest congratulations on the success of the presidential election and your election as president of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria,” Haniyeh said in a letter sent to Tebboune.

Haniyeh wished Tebboune success in his position to lead Algeria to more prosperity and development in all fields.

The top Hamas official expressed his gratitude to the newly-elected president for his stances in support of the Palestinian rights, cause and struggle for liberation and an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.  

Haniyeh voiced his appreciation of the strong relationship between the Algerian and Palestinian peoples, hoping that Palestine, occupied Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque would always be at the hearts and minds of Algeria’s president, government, and people at all occasions and forums.
