Hamas announced on Sunday evening that it would start a campaign to provide assistance for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
In a press release, Hamas stressed that such campaign was launched as part of its responsibility towards its people and in support of the Palestinian refugees who are suffering from harsh living and economic conditions.
In the first stage of its aid plan, Hamas explained that it would distribute thousands of food packages to Palestinian refugee camps and communities in Lebanon.
Hamas called on the Palestinian people to reinforce “the spirit of collaboration” among each other and conduct charity campaigns to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian refugees abroad.
In a previous statement, Hamas announced that it had cancelled its 32nd anniversary celebrations this year in Lebanon “in support of Palestinian refugees” in the country.
