The repeated Israeli breakings into Al-Aqsa reflect disdain for Arab and Muslim sentiments and are blatant aggression against Muslim holy sites, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem said.

In a press release, Qasem added that the number of Israeli settlers storming the al-Aqsa Mosque compound has increased because  because the US administration provides a cover for Israeli crimes.

Storming the al-Aqsa Mosque highlights how grave  the crime committed against the Palestinian people and cause by those who call for normalisation with the Israeli occupation is, Qasem pointed out.

Qasem expressed his appreciation to the role played by Palestinians in defending the al-Aqsa Mosque complex and its Islamic identity against Israeli policies and measures.
