The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, expressed its willingness to deal with any positive suggestion for opening the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.

In a statement on Wednesday, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said Hamas is keen to open the crossing for the guarantee of the Palestinian right of movement without restrictions.

Abu Zuhri referred to the statements of member of Fatah movement Azaam al-Ahmad, pointing out that some parties insist on ignoring reconciliation agreement, and strike deals that are difficult to implement because they ignore the situation on the ground.

Al-Ahmad had stated earlier that “a Palestinian-Egyptian understanding on the crossing is likely to be implemented under the supervision of Rami al-Hamdallah’s government and Egyptian authorities."

Rafah Crossing has been closed for the past 90 days, thus preventing thousands of patients, students, businessmen etc from leaving the Gaza Strip pursuing their endeavors.
