Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum stated the following:

The resumption of financial aid provided by the US administration to the Palestinian Authority security forces in the West Bank comes as part of the grants given to the PA as a reward for its efforts to suppress freedoms and undermine the option of resistance and as an incentive for the security coordination between the PA and the Israeli occupation.

The US grant is also aimed to push the PA to turn a blind eye to Trump’s policy to implement the “deal of the century.”

Accepting this assistance by the Oslo team, above all Mahmoud Abbas and PM Mohammed Shtayyeh, who have condemned the Palestinian factions’ approval to establish the international field hospital in Gaza and any effort to alleviate the suffering of Gaza’s residents, proves that the Palestinian people of Gaza along with everyone believing in the option of resistance against the occupation and all plans aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause are targeted. 

All crises facing the Palestinian people of Gaza, including unemployment and healthcare crisis, are indeed horrible outcomes of the Israeli-PA siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.
