Hamas representative in Iran Khalid al-Qadoumi denied that Sudanese authorities planned to shut its office in Khartoum. 

Al-Qadoumi’s remarks came in response to a report published by an American newspaper, which claimed that the caretaker Sundanese government was set to close the offices of Hamas and Hezbollah in the country “as part of its efforts to rebuild relations with the U.S. and get sanctions lifted.”   

The rumours disseminated by some suspicious sides about a breakdown of the relationship between Hamas and Sudan are baseless, al-Qadoumi stressed in a press release.

Descripting the ties between his movement and the Sudanese leadership as “deep and positive,” al-Qadoumi said that Sudan has always been supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause until they restore all their rights.

The Hamas official hoped that security, peace, and stability would prevail across Sudan.
