“Our presence in Tehran, as Palestinian resistance factions, is out of loyalty to the martyr [Qasem Soleimani] and his role and position [towards Palestine],” said head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh.
“Our presence in Tehran, as Palestinian resistance factions, is out of loyalty to the martyr [Qasem Soleimani] and his role and position [towards Palestine],” said head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh.
In a press release on Tuesday evening, Haniyeh hailed the Iranian powerful general’s “strategic and core” role in supporting the Palestinian resistance.
Haniyeh pointed out that Soleimani’s assassination had failed to achieve its goals.
Soleimani’s killing reflects the criminal spirit that dominates the mentality of US administration, Haniyeh noted, adding: “The American crime constituted a cover for all crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people at home and abroad.”
The top Hamas official visited Monday home of the Iran’s elite Quds Force commander to offer his condolences to Soleimani’s family.
