The Israeli occupation has escalated its intensive attack on the al-Aqsa Mosque, particularly the Bab al-Rahma area, in a bid to reclose the sacred place and intimidate Palestinian worshippers by atrociously beating, arresting, and threatening them, as well as by banning them from accessing the holy compound.

Meantime, Israeli settlers continue their storming of the al-Aqsa Mosque, accompanied with attacks and arrests of Palestinian worshippers by Israeli occupation forces. Thus, Hamas warns against the consequences of these serious Israeli steps and states the following:  

The brutality against Palestinian worshippers at the Bab al-Rahma area by Israeli occupation forces will not dissuade Jerusalem’s Palestinian residents from defending the al-Aqsa Mosque complex.

The attempt to reclose the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall is bound to fail thanks to the Palestinian presence which forced the Israeli occupation to reopen the Bab al-Rahma in spite Israeli malicious plans aimed at taking over the sacred place and isolating it from the al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Israeli assault on the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall coincides with renovating the al-Aqsa’s southern wall by Israeli occupation municipality, overriding the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf, the guardian of al-Aqsa Mosuqe.

We call on the Palestinian people to perform Friday prayers at the al-Aqsa Mosque and Bab al-Rahma prayer hall, to voice their rejection of Israeli occupation’s aggression on the al-Aqsa Mosque and its bid to take over the holy compound.
