Hamas’ compass is directed towards Palestine, member of Hamas Political Bureau Mahmoud al-Zahar said.

In a press release on Friday evening, al-Zahar stressed that Hamas had never interfere in security affairs of any Arab state.

“We don’t want to be with any of the conflicting groups in the region,” al-Zahar added.

The senior Hamas official called on Palestinian factions to build relations with the people and governments that support the Palestinian people with no price in return.

The relationship between Hamas and Iran began in 1991, al-Zahar pointed out, noting that Iran has been supporting the Palestinian people without a price in return.
