Head of Hamas Political Bureau met Thursday with Speaker of the Parliament of Malaysia Mohamad Ariff Md. Yusof during his visit to the country.

Haniyeh has started a foreign tour in the region and visited Egypt, Turkey, Qatar, Iran, Oman, and Malaysia.

The top Hamas leader also met Friday with Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and Malaysian Minister of Home Affairs Muhyiddin Yassin.

During the meetings, the Hamas chief highlighted political developments concerning the Palestinian cause and attempts to liquidate the Palestinian issues, especially the so-called “Deal of the Century”.

Haniyeh reiterated the necessity to tackle the Trump’s plan, stressing that the Palestinian people “will not let such schemes to pass.”

He also briefed his counterparts on the difficult humanitarian circumstances experienced by the Palestinian people in the refugee camps, the West Bank, or the Gaza Strip.

The Hamas chief also briefed the Malaysian officials on Israeli violations committed across Palestine.

Haniyeh hailed the strong bilateral relations maintained by Malaysia and Palestine and the supportive stances adopted by the country.
