The PA President Mahmoud Abbas’ inability to respond to several initiatives intended to face off the “deal of the century” will weaken the Palestinian position against Trump’s plan, Hamas spokesperson Abdel Latif al-Qanoa said.

In a press release on Monday, al-Qanoa called on Abbas to heed to a call by Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh for a national meeting to discuss how to deal with Trump’s “deal of the century”.

Haniyeh announced that he is ready for an “urgent summit” with Fatah along with all Palestinian factions in Cairo to face off the Trump’s plan, which will be released this week.

“We are ready to hold a meeting with Fatah and all the Palestinian factions in Cairo to face off the deal of the century united and to protect our Jerusalem and constants,” Haniyeh said in a statement on Sunday evening.
