The Palestinian popular response to US President Donal Trump’s deal has been “strong and divisive,” Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem said on Friday.

In a press release, Qasem stressed that the inclusive popular, campaign launched by the Palestinian people across the occupied West Bank proved that this is a “continuous revolution” against the occupation.

The Palestinians in the West Bank “will not rest” as long as the occupation and settlement expansion continue, Qasem concluded.

On January 28, Trump unveiled his plan, known as the “deal of the century”, in a press conference in Washington, attended by Netanyahu.

The plan, meanwhile, was rejected by the Palestinian Authority and Palestinian factions.
