Secretary-General of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) Saeb Erekat’s statements that Hamas delays the PLO delegation’s visit to the Gaza Strip and refuses to extend an invitation for a meeting of all Palestinian factions in Gaza” are ridiculous.

Such remarks are meant to cover the role of this team, comprising of Palestinian Authority and Fatah officials, in hindering any effort to achieve unity and put a strategy to fight off the “deal of the century” and Israeli plans and projects designed to liquidate the Palestinian cause.

This team is chasing the mirage of peace, monopolising Palestinian decision-making, and stealing Palestinian wealth, while maintaining security coordination with the Israeli occupation, kidnapping and torturing Palestinian civilians and activists, imposing punitive measures on Gaza’s residents, and cutting stipends paid for families of Palestinian martyrs, detainees, and wounded people. 

Indeed, this team has repeatedly attempted to thwart the Great Return March protests as they incited against these demonstrations and demonised option of resistance after withdrawing from the National Committee of the Great Return March.

The team has itself foiled arrangements made by Hamas along with four Palestinian factions for the PLO delegation’s visit to Gaza, while obstructing the formation of a national committee to face off the “deal of the century”.

In addition, this team has given a cover for PA ministers and figures to attend a meeting in “Tel Aviv”, organised by the so-called “Israeli Peace Parliament”, aimed to normalise with the Israeli occupation.  

We immensely bet on the Palestinian people and resistance factions embracing the option of resistance in all its forms and with various means in their fight to face off all challenges posed to the Palestinian cause and defend and protect their interests.
