The resignation of city council members in the Ramallah municipality in protest at the Israeli settlement of Modi'in, which is built on Palestinian lands west of Ramallah, becoming member of the Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly (ARLEM), headed by Ramallah Mayor Mousa Hadid, is a national act and a responsible step towards highlighting the importance of boycotting the Israeli occupation and isolating it domestically and internationally.

This move goes completely in line with the general Palestinian demand and mood rejecting the Israeli occupation and its legitimacy on any inch of Palestine and with regional and international boycott efforts exerted in support of the Palestinian rights.
