Hamas has arranged visits to many countries paid by the movement’s chief, Sami Abu Zohri, member of Hamas’ Arab and Islamic Relations Office, said Saturday.
In a press release, Abu Zohri pointed out that Haniyeh’s tour is an “important development and great leap” in bilateral ties with Moscow and bolstered the movement’s foreign relations.
There are a series of visits made to several countries and the arrangements for others are still underway, Abu Zohri added.
As for Palestinian detainees held in Israeli prisons, Abu Zohri said that releasing all Palestinian prisoners is a top priority for the Hamas leadership.
“We won’t rest until releasing all of our detainees from [Israeli] occupation jails,” Abu Zohri continued. “We’ll exert every possible effort to achieve that goal.”
Arab position on “deal of century”
Commenting on the Arab position towards the US President Trump’s deal, Abu Zohri regretted that Arab countries have not adopted a unified stance.
Abu Zohri hoped that Palestinian interests are prioritised over partisan gains, reiterating that the US deal is aimed to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
The Hamas official called on the Arab world to unify their stance in the face of the Trump deal.
