We received with high appreciation the instructions of Qatar’s emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to provide $150 million in aid for the Palestinian people of the Gaza Strip over a span of six months, as part of his country’s efforts to alleviate their hardships and support the United Nations’ relief and humanitarian programs in the Gaza Strip and help fight the coronavirus epidemic.   

In light of this, we express our deep thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Qatar’s leadership, government, and people for such generosity, which is as an extension of the Qatari positions towards the Palestinian people everywhere and confirms how deep the relationship with the Gulf nation is.
