Hamas Political Bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh has discussed with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri the developments linked to the coronavirus pandemic and its regional and global ramifications.

In a phone call, the top Hamas official wished safety for the Lebanese people and the Arab public, hoping that the COVID-19 pandemic would be contained quickly.

Haniyeh also addressed the circumstances of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, especially those living in refugee camps, reiterating the necessity to provide them with the supplies needed for protection against the deadly virus and to reinforce joint efforts to face it and its health and economic consequences amid the harsh conditions experienced by Palestinian refugees.
