“We, as Palestinians, are united in one o to face this pandemic,” Haniyeh stressed in a phone call to the Palestinian PM. “We care about the safety of every Palestinian in Jerusalem, Gaza, the West Bank, the 1948 occupied territories, and abroad.”
Highlighting Gaza’s humanitarian situation amid a 13-year crippling Israeli siege on the impoverished enclave, Haniyeh called for unifying efforts and dedicating all Palestinian capabilities to battle COVID-19.
The Hamas chief sent his warmest wishes to the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Jerusalem, hoping that they would curb the spread the novel virus and wishing a fast and full recovery for all COVID-19 patients.
Haniyeh confirmed that his movement was ready to exert every effort possible in this regard and would not abandon its national duty towards the Palestinian people.
