Deputy head of Hamas's political bureau Ismail Haniya on Thursday met in Gaza with a high-level Turkish delegation of religious affairs.

The Turkish delegation, led by Head of Turkish Religious Affairs Hassan Kamel Yilmaz, had arrived to the strip in a 2-day visit.

Haniya welcomed the Turkish delegation and appreciated Turkey's continuous support for the Palestinian people on humanitarian and political levels. 

Yilmaz declared the beginning of the reconstruction of nine of the mosques that were destroyed in the Israeli aggression on the besieged enclave in 2014. The mosques’ reconstruction cost is estimated at 4.5 million dollars financed by Yurkey.
