Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh phoned this afternoon Turkish President his highness Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to congratulate him on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

In the phone call, Haniyeh wished Turkey security, prosperity, and success in tackling the outbreak of coronavirus.

The Hamas chief also discussed the political developments concerning the Palestinian issue and thanked his highness for the humanitarian and medical aid provided by Turkey to help the Palestinians battle against coronavirus.

The Turkish President informed Haniyeh that medical aid will arrive in Gaza and the West Bank next week. He also pledged that the Turkish government will be facilitating the return of Palestinian students to Palestine soon.
