Chief of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has received a phone call from Islamic Jihad secretary general Ziad al-Nakhala, congratulating him on the advent of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Both officials discussed the latest developments of the Palestinian cause following the formation of a new Israeli government, reaffirming their commitment to the option of resistance against the Israeli occupation until Palestinian rights are restored and Palestinian refugees’ return to their homeland.   

They reiterated the necessity to maintain close ties between the two Palestinian movements and with the rest of Palestinian factions, and the importance to protect Jerusalem at any cost, highlighting the strategic horizons of joint work in all fields.
