The Israeli occupation government approved a new settlement project near the Ibrahimi Mosque. This is a serious assault on Muslim holy sites and a threat to Hebron’s status quo, Hamas spokesperson Abdel Latif al-Qanoa said.

In a press release, al-Qanoa stressed that such a project came as the world is preoccupied with fighting the coronavirus pandemic and as a quick move by the Israeli occupation government to implement the “deal of the century” in a bid to enforce a new fait accompli in the occupied West Bank.
