Hamas official Sami Abu Zohri has hailed Saudi Arabia for restating its commitment to back the Palestinian cause.   

“We appreciate official statements about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to its position in support of the Palestinian people,” Abu Zohri wrote Wednesday on his official Twitter account. 

Abu Zohri called for practical steps to be taken to “end the suffering of Palestinian detainees in Saudi jails.”

In a meeting on Tuesday evening, Saudi Arabia’s cabinet reiterated that the Palestinian cause will remain a “central issue” for all Arabs and Muslims.
