Member of Hamas's political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk said that Fatah leaders use the issue of the Rafah border crossing as a bargaining chip to politically pressure Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

In Facebook remarks on Sunday, Abu Marzouk said that Fatah officials and its spokespersons use the suffering of Gazans as a political card to pressure Hamas and divert attention from Jerusalem intifada.

He affirmed that the unity government in Ramallah had rejected all the proposals offered by Hamas to run the crossing, expressing his belief that the government does not want a solution to the issue.

“You have forgotten your issues with the occupation which deprives you of everything. You have no sovereignty over anything but you are still enabling the siege.”  He wrote.

He also said that Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas wants absolute power with no partnership and away from any form of resistance against the occupation.

Finally, Abu Marzouk stressed that no issue should divert attention from the ongoing intifada, confirming that it represents the solution to the miseries of occupation.
