In the 28th anniversary of the founding of Hamas, vice chairman of the movement Ismail Haniya expressed his pride and honor for being a member and leader of the resistance movement “Hamas”.
In a hamas.ps special, Haniya said that Hamas had endure what no other organization can survive, including with the assassination of founders and top leaders, a decade-long siege, countless arrest campaigns and 3 wars.
“Hamas still holds to the original goals and constants it set to achieve 28 years ago, yet it also demonstrates a great deal of resilience and experience,” he underlined, adding that he feels certain about the future of the movement.
Haniya said that the intifada in Jerusalem represents a strategic game changer.
“The Jerusalem intifada reveals that the West Bank is not lifeless, and ushers to the world the real ‘new Palestinian’, one that is different from the ‘new Palestinians’ of Gen. Keith Dayton.” He stated.
