The widespread criticism for Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng’s remarks endorsing the occupation by various segments of the South African community reflects the country’s constant stance in support of Palestinian rights, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem has said.

In a press release, Qasem hailed South African for its official and popular position in support of the just Palestinian cause, as the Israeli occupation is planning to grab more occupied Palestinian territory.

Qasem called for criminalising normalisation with the Israeli occupation and boycotting at all levels in response to its unabated crimes against the Palestinian people.
