Supreme Leader of the Iranian Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stressed that Iran will spare no effort to back the freedom struggle of the Palestinian people.

In a letter sent to Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh, Khomeini said that maintaining a sense of unity between the Palestinian people and factions had an influential role in foiling Israeli plots targeting the Palestinian cause.

With its expansionist strategy, the Israeli occupation is trying to abolish legitimate Palestinian rights through negotiations, "the deal of century", economic restrictions, and siege.  

Khomeini's remarks came in response to a letter sent by Haniyeh on the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause, particularly Israeli plans to annex large swathes of the occupied West Bank.
