Hamas official Hassan Yousef has stressed that his movement would participate in a summit announced by Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh scheduled for next Wednesday.
During a ministerial meeting on Monday morning, Shtayyeh said that the Palestinian leadership would hold a meeting on Wednesday to discuss a number of topics related to the Palestinian cause, above all the UAE-Israeli deal to normalise ties.
In a press statement on Monday evening, Yousef said that his movement had received an invitation to take part in the meeting that would be held in Ramallah.
In the next few hours, Yousef pointed out, the names of Hamas officials appointed to participate in the summit will be announced.
Headed by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, this meeting comes in the aftermath of an agreement between the United Arab Emirates and the Israeli occupation to normalise relations.
