The Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas condemned on Tuesday morning the Israeli heavy bombardment of Gaza amidst its fight against COVID-19.
“The continuous Israeli bombings and airstrikes against the besieged Gaza Strip despite the state of emergency declared over the new turn in the outbreak of COVID-19 reflect the brutal nature of the Israeli occupation and its lack of morals,” Hamas Spokesperson Hazem Qasem said.
In a press release, Qasem reiterated that such attacks are an “extension to the Israeli aggression and the tight Israeli blockade restrictions imposed on the Gaza Strip.” 
He stressed that the pressure placed on Gaza residents would never dissuade them from continuing their struggle to the break the 14-year Israeli siege on them and restore their right to a decent life.
