The arrest campaign launched last night by Israeli occupation forces against Hamas officials and parliamentarians in Ramallah is a failed attempt aimed to intimidate the Palestinian people into not taking part in national activities held against Israeli colonial projects in the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli occupation mistakenly thinks that arrests could break the Palestinians’ willpower and influence their unshakeable convictions and absolute belief in inclusive resistance against it.   

At different stages, it has been proved that Palestinian detainees released from Israeli jails have become more determined to resist the occupation.

We salute the parliamentarian Ahmad Atoun for his efforts to defend Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque even though he has paid a price for raising his voice and was banned from entering Jerusalem and arrested several times.

We call on all sides that have scrambled to normalise ties with the Israeli occupation to monitor the daily Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, which reflects a black image of the Israeli occupation, which will always the arch enemy of the Arab and Islamic worlds.
