The three children are martyrs of the Israeli siege on Gaza

With deep sorrow and pain, the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas mourns the death of three little children of al-Hazin family who died in a fire at their home ignited by a candle lit up during one of the besieged Gaza Strip’s repeated power cuts.

In the light of the increasing number of the victims of the 14-year-old Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip, we reaffirm that the Israeli occupation holds full responsibility for all serious repercussions of its unfair blockade on the impoverished enclave which have resulted in several major humanitarian crises for its population.

Following this tragic accident, international organisations and all concerned sides have to put pressure on the Israeli occupation in order to lift its devastating siege imposed on the Gaza Strip and assume their responsibilities regarding helping the Palestinian people to have a decent and dignified life.

As we share the grief and pain of al-Hazin family, we call for all Palestinians to take the utmost caution and all safety precautions when using candles in their homes.
