Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh, accompanied by a delegation of senior Hamas officials, has met with Lebanon's director of general security, Major General Abbas Ibrahim.

Held on Friday in the General Security headquarters in Beirut, the meeting focused on several issues of mutual concern, including the plots orchestrated against the Palestinian cause.

Both sides discussed the humanitarian and social conditions of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Haniyeh stressed that Lebanon is a “strategic power for the Palestinian people and cause.”

The top Hamas official reiterated his movement’s rejection to any plan aimed to displace Palestinian refugee and resettle them in an alternate homeland.
