The Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas hailed on Monday UN efforts to help Palestinian patients from Gaza to travel for treatment abroad.
“Any step to alleviate the pain and suffering of our people is appreciated,” Dr Basim Naim, member of Hamas International Relations Office, said.
However, Naim stressed: “The people of Gaza are in need for long lasting steps, including ending the misery of two million Palestinians by ending the Gaza siege immediately and unconditionally.”
Naim added: “We are not seeking to improve the conditions of a prison, but seeking full freedom and dignity.”
