The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas said Tuesday that a committee has been formed by the Movement’s leadership to follow-up on the proposals and initiatives related to the opening of Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza Strip.

In a statement, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri confirmed the Movement is ready and will work with all national parties to discuss the crisis with the Egyptian brothers and guarantee the opening of the crossing.

“The Movement is keen to ameliorate the suffering of our people, and will take the necessary contacts to discuss the crisis of Rafah,” he said.

"We will work along with all national parties to discuss the Rafah crossing crisis with our Egyptian brothers", he added.

Palestinian factions have earlier submitted a proposal to the Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and Hamas to solve the Rafah crossing crisis.
