Hamas movement and the Palestinian people mourn the death of Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah who passed away this evening.

The movement offers its condolences to our brothers in Kuwait and the family of Al-Sabah on this sad occasion. The Kuwaiti Emir has been an icon of humanitarian work, courage, and wisdom. Today, we recall his great actions in support of the issues of Arab and Islamic countries, above all the Palestinian cause. He has supported Jerusalem, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Palestinian rights, the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, placing Kuwait on top of the supporters of the Palestinian cause.

Finally, we wish success to the late Emir’s successor Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to lead the country to more stability and prosperity.
