The Israeli occupation’s approval for the construction of new settlement units in the West Bank is prompted by normalisation of ties with the Israeli occupation by some Arab counties, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem stated.

In a press release, the Hamas spokesperson highlighted that the movement had already warned that forging with the occupation would lead to more crimes against the Palestinian people.

“The Israeli occupation has resolved to launch aggressions against the Palestinian people and land and settlement is one form of the Israeli aggression,” he added.

Qasem noted that settlement exposes the expansion plans of the Israeli occupation.
