The Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” had held the Israeli occupation responsible for life of the prisoner on hunger strike Mohammed al-Qeiq.
In a press statement on Monday, Hamas spokesman Hussam Badran said that in light of the Israeli mistreatment and neglect, the Palestinian people and resistance will never remain silent should any bad happen to al-Qeiq.
He praised al-Qeiq for his courage and efforts to defend his people’s cause, adding that the occupation authorities attempt to jeopardize al-Qeiq’s life because they realize the love and impact he has among his people.
Badran called for intensifying popular activities in solidarty with al-Qeiq, noting that he fights a battle not for himself but for all Palestinians and their freedom of speech.
